Lovin' los libros

A book blog dedicated to young adult and new adult novels

Swoon Thursday #13

By 7:25 AM

Swoon Thursday is a weekly event hosted by YA Bound.

Here's what you do:

From the book you're currently reading, or one you just finished, tell me what made you swoon. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering. Shout it out on twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments or grab the button above and share it on your blog.

This week's swoon comes from Aimeé Carter's The Goddess Inheritance, which is the third and final book in the Goddess Test series. This book didn't have a whole lot of steamy swoons, so I found a sweet one instead.

"I captured him in another kiss, deeper this time and full of everything I couldn't say. How much I loved him, how thankful I was not just for him, but for the family we had together-all of it. I may have saved his life, but he'd saved mine, as well. Neither of us would ever have to go through the dark loneliness again."

Sooooo.... what made you swoon this week?!

    1. I liked the series. I wouldn't say they are life altering by any means, but they are sweet books. Even though I got frustrated quite a few times with the characters. I hear ya on the catching up Jenea! I need to get my butt in gear and get reading!

    1. It's a pretty cute series. I liked it. I'm big on greek mythology, so I liked how she came up with the idea of Hades and such.

  6. I haven't read this book yet! Or the entire series. I'm kind of eh on the Hades/Persephone retellings, because some of them are RIDICULOUS. Enter Everneath. Abandon by Meg Cabot was okay, but the sequel, Underworld, was NOT so good. Anyway. I hope you enjoyed the book! Great swoon choice :D

    1. Thanks Alyssa- I liked the series, but I wouldn't say it's one of my favorites. I thought it was a cute, light read, but I agree- some of the Hades retellings are seriously bad.

  10. That is a sweet moment. Sometimes the best books do not have a lot of swoon ones in them.
